I am a 4th year PhD at the Garcia-Bosch Lab at the Mellon College of Science in CMU. I study molecular systems and machine (+ deep) learning methods, and try to combine the best of both worlds. I also like to spend my time reading about the brain, especially when things don’t make sense.

I study and develop machine-learned interatomic potential (MLIP) based computational workflows, often backed by spectroscopic experimental techniques like NMR, CV and UV-vis to understand fundamental chemical reactions. My current focus is on redox-active organic molecules that participate in proton-coupled electron transfers. These molecules are highly versatile redox mediators that can be used as materials for energy devices, pharmaceuticals, and catalysis.

I prefer interdisciplinary research and try to bring together topics that fascinate me - minds, machines, math and molecules.
